The History of Alhaj Naimuddin Shahidi College

Founded on 19th August 2023, Alhaj Naimuddin Shahidi College stands as a beacon of higher education, offering undergraduate programs in Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Commerce (BCom). The college is affiliated with Purnea University, Purnia, and is managed by the Khawaja Shahid Hussain Education Society, a reputed organization dedicated to promoting excellence in education within the region.

This institution was established by Md Ahrar Alam (Administrator) in loving memory of his father, Alhaj Naimuddin Shahidi. Hailing from the remote village of Nista (Chandhar), Alhaj Naimuddin Shahidi's journey was one of determination and relentless pursuit. His vision of providing education to underserved communities led to the founding of Khawaja Shahid Hussain Primary Teachers Training College, where he laid the first brick, marking the beginning of a legacy that continues to inspire.

Alhaj Naimuddin Shahidi’s life was marked by his unwavering struggle to bring educational opportunities to rural and impoverished areas. He passionately believed in the transformative power of education and worked tirelessly to spread its benefits to those who were unaware of its value. Despite being called "mad" for his obsession with education, Alhaj Naimuddin Shahidi proved his critics wrong, showing that education is the most powerful tool for changing lives. His perseverance ensured that even the poorest children had access to learning, paving the way for a brighter future.

In addition, the Khawaja Shahid Hussain Primary Teachers Training College, a sister institution, has trained numerous talented teachers who went on to serve in various schools, greatly enhancing the quality of education wherever they joined. This college has become an essential part of the educational ecosystem, producing educators who carry forward Alhaj Naimuddin Shahidi's mission of spreading knowledge and enlightenment to every corner of the region.

It is recognised by "the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE)", New Delhi a statutory body established by Government of India and affiliated to the Govt of Bihar have also extended their permission in support of this institution.
